In November 2013, Andy Desmond spoke at the inaugural collaborative International Summit on combating Human Trafficking in Ottawa, Canada: Together Let’s Stop Traffick.

This is a collaborative international Summit shaping the operational foundations for the world’s first international Global Resource Centre to combat human trafficking. The second summit will be held in November 2014 in West Virginia.

“What practical and operational form should the centre take to share human trafficking information resources effectively at an international level?”

A series of high profile invited speakers each delivered a presentation, highlighting the views, latest anti-human trafficking activities, and best practice in use by a wide spectrum of law enforcement agencies, victim support groups and non-governmental organisations.
